     Cherry Hill Antiques in Arcadia<BR> had their <BR>28th Christmas Open House <BR>November 15, 2008 <BR>10:00 4:00. <BR>They had 4 EVENTS in one making this a huge Christmas OPEN HOUSE which will also include refreshments, a SALE, Christmas music, and fun. <BR><BR>
     ANTIQUING WEEKEND   <BR>Cherry Hill Antiques gave away a Antiquing Weekend in Arcadia<BR> which includes certificates from<BR> <BR>Holiday Inn Express for one night in the Jacuzzi room (good for 1 year any day of week),<BR> Chili's ($30.00), <BR>DeSoto Restaurant ($30.00), <BR>Subway ($20.00), <BR>CiCi Pizza (two free buffets), <BR>Maddy`s Antiques   a certificate for a candle of your choice,<BR>Ahh'' Why Not Flowers ($20.00)certificate, <BR>Winne Dixie gift card ($20.00)<BR>Beef O Brady`s gift certificate $20.00<BR>Isabelles Antiques gift certificate $35.00<BR>and lots of neat stuff from Cherry Hill Antiques.  <BR><BR>     Cherry Hill's contribution to these fun weekend:<BR> 2 Arcadia or Cherry Hill Tee Shirts,<BR> 2 Cherry Hill Antiques hats, <BR>a handmade Famous ''Marc Art'' pottery bowl, <BR>bottle of Kramers Best Antique Improver,<BR> Longaberger basket full of Christmas ornaments,<BR> <BR>This all was given to one lucky winner<BR><BR>    INFORMATION FAIR  <BR>Do you have questions on antiques? <BR>When was it made, where, common or rare, what pattern, color, bring your questions, items, pictures and we'll try to help. Or do you just want to discuss your hobby/passion with someone. Sorry no appraisals.<BR> We had collectors at Cherry Hill to help in the following areas;<BR> <BR>Depression Glass  Johnpaul Moccia, <BR>Quilts  Susan Wellington Walker,<BR> Jewelry  Barb Mader, <BR>Perfume Bottles  Pat Hart, <BR>and working on even more. <BR><BR>Cherry Hill also had demonstrations on;<BR><BR> Kramers Best Antique Improver <BR>(to clean, finish, preserve and beautify antiques),<BR> <BR>Metal Brite Products   <BR>(how to maintain and clean silver, copper, jewelry, and replate without the huge cost).<BR><BR>GOURMET FOOD TASTING<BR>Lucky customers tasted different items.<BR><BR>Braswell`s Honey Mustard Pretzel Dip<BR>Lapham Jalapeno Pepper Jelly<BR>Braswell`s Sweet Vidalia Onion Relish. <BR><BR>  
     CHARITY DAY  <BR>Cherry Hill also helped EARS and EMPTY BOWLS two wonderful charities that help feed the homeless. <BR><BR>We took food donations for humans and animals. Lots of wonderful customers dropped off canned or non perishable people food to help the food banks. Canned vegetables, fruit, peanut butter, jelly, macaroni and cheese, canned tuna and chicken, or toothpaste, toothbrushes, bar soap or anything else people need.    <BR><BR>EARS   We were an official drop off site for EARS Animal Rescue Sanctuary. Please bring cat litter, dog and cat food, toys, beds, anything a good little pet needs. This also included money and gift cards to buy food.<BR><BR>
     EMPTY BOWLS  Helping the homeless and near homeless at the CC Homeless Coalition. Joann Winkler and Nancy Waltman sold tickets for the Empty Bowls dinner which took place on November 20, 2008. Each ticket was $10.00 which included dinner and handmade bowl. <BR>There was even entertainment, silent auction, raffles, 50/50, and lots of fun. Cherry Hill donated two original oil paintings from Ralph Washicheck to the silent auction.             July 4, 2008 Parade<BR><BR>This is one of the best parades in Arcadia. I`m not sure if I should call this the Rodeo Parade or 4th of July parade but there are lots of horses some even dancing for us. So cute to see how young some are riding horses.<BR><BR>No parade is complete without the American Flags. It is very interesting to observe how few of the men take off their hats, and how few of the parade watchers put their hands over their hearts when the American Flags pass by. <BR>I guess times have really changed.]]></description>
