Santa Holding Stockings

This fun, 3 demensional, handpainted Santa was made by Folk Art Designer and Artist Marc Washicheck for his Famous "Marc Art" collection. Painted by Folk Art Designer and Folk Artist Marc Washicheck for his Famous "Marc Art" Collection. He has been painting folk art for 27 years, and until about 3 years ago sold his "Marc Art" through Major Department Stores, Home Parties, Fine Craft Shows, and Country Magazines. You never know what he will paint next, since he paints on furniture, architectural items, wood, windows, shutters, screens, pelt strechers, birdhouses, slates, etc. Marc also is maker of one of a kind “Porch Still Lives” which were created to display on your porch or lanai. As of 2007 he has started designing and building his own country furniture and Famous “Marc Art” Designer Art Collection. He uses his favorite painting technique on both his country furniture and his Designer Art Collection and all are one of kind, useful and very well made. His Designer Art Collection is made from old or discarded antiques and reused and remade into fantastic art pieces. He has many COPYRIGHTED pieces and all are signed,dated, one of a kind, which makes these great pieces of true folk art a treasure to be keep always.

Santa is cut from northern pine which is a denser wood than southern pine and body is one single piece-not pressed or glued together. The adorable wood stocking are hanging by rusty wire from his two hands and is standing on a base. His cute as a button face has a wood button nose, textured beard, and big blue eyes. His white fur is also textured. Pattern is not painted on back but his back is painted all the barn red color, and entire piece is antiqued. Very collectible.
