In March of 2012 Cherry Hill Antiques packed up and left Arcadia after 15 years (12 in same building). After 15 years we all need a change, and change I did. I opened a much smaller store, but it includes a my art studio in the back. Customers can see me working on my handmade furniture, painted furniture, pottery, or collages.
When I opened the new Cherry Hill Antiques & Art Studio I wanted this store to be different. I didn't want it to be a typical antique store with shelves piled full of glass ware. I wanted this store to be unique, funky, trendy, fun, artsy but yet antiquey. Some of my friends asked if they could sell in my store because they had the same vision. With their help my vision became reality.

“ OUT OF THE BOX” PAINTED FURNITURE BONANZA
April 14 - April 21 - April 28, 2013
The first class is a wonderful beginning class to prepare you for all the other classes, and is very helpful for beginners as well as pro's.
Instructors Marc Washicheck – “Junk Master” - Artist - Furniture painter for over 30 years, and owner of Cherry Hill Antiques & Art Gallery
We will show typical Shabby Chic painting, types of paint, and how to make it better. We will also discuss minor furniture repair, upholstering of bench tops or removable chair cushion tops, types of paint, crackling, scraping, decoupage, stenciling on furniture, hardware, embellishments, loose chair joints, varnish vs wax, decorating the inside, antiquing, etc.
We will start your imagination going, and get you to think “Out Of The Box”. You will create wonderful, unique painted furniture that will be retail quality.
As an extra bonus, I will teach you to paint a cute birds nest with eggs in it. This will be in acrylic paint and can be used on furniture, birdhouses, signs, etc. This is so easy, anyone can learn in 10 minutes.
Refreshments will be provided.

My antique store is also my art studio, and I make most of my money from selling my artwork “Famous “Marc Art”. Antiques and my artwork cannot be ordered from a catalog, so sometimes I'm not open when you may be there. I'm always out looking for antiques or supplies for my artwork.

Hours I try to go by;
Wednesday – Saturday 11:00-4:00
Sunday-Monday-Tuesday by chance or appointment
Sundays is the day the classes/seminars take place in Cherry Hill Antiques
DIRECTIONS
I -75 to exit 164 this is Hwy 17- the Punta Gorda, Arcadia exit. Go east (away from the water) about 1 mile until you see the Galleria Plaza. You will go past the Winnie Dixie, Ryan's Sports Bar and then you will see the Galleria Plaza sign. Turn into the plaza and I'm the first store in the complex.
Driving on Hwy 17 from Arcadia, Sebring, or cities north. Take Hwy 17 through Arcadia about 20 miles and we will be on your left.
Don't be confused. There is also a Galleria Antique Mall inside the Galleria Plaza, so I'm in the Galleria Plaza but not the Galleria Antique Mall. Confused? It is really very simple when you get here.
